Kate L Jansen, PhD
Dr. Jansen is a Sexuality Educator certified by the American Association of Sexuality Educators Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) with extensive experience in clinical health psychology.
After completing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Toledo, Dr. Jansen completed a post-doctoral fellowship in health psychology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Department of Family Medicine, with a focus on integrated primary care. Currently, Dr. Jansen is an Associate Professor at Midwestern University, teaching doctoral students in clinical psychology, while also researching sexual health, medical training, and communication.
With a commitment to understanding and advocating for the diverse needs of patients, Dr. Jansen is particularly passionate about research addressing the sexual health needs of underrepresented populations including members of the LGBTQIA+, BDSM, and kink communities. In her roles as a consultant, advocate, and educator for public and professional audiences, Dr. Jansen integrates clinical expertise and scientific knowledge with the goal of meaningful change in the field of sexual health.
